Salman Yaqoob — Software Engineer & International Tour Guide

Salman YaqoobUniversity of LahoreGuiding since 2013

With a background in Software Engineering from the University of Lahore and years of experience working with international travellers, I operate at the intersection of technology, creativity and real-world experience. The two halves of my work rarely feel separate — both begin with listening carefully to what someone actually needs, and both end with an experience that has to hold up in the real world.

As an engineer I care about the parts a client never sees — clean architecture, reliable data, APIs that survive real traffic — and the parts they feel every day: interfaces that make sense, AI assistants and automation that quietly remove repetitive work, and the digital growth that follows a product people enjoy using. I would rather ship, measure and improve than promise.

Since 2013 I have guided international tourists — my primary clientele — through the mountains and living cultures of northern Pakistan: Gilgit-Baltistan, Hunza, Skardu, Nagar, Ghizer, Fairy Meadows, Deosai. Every journey is planned personally and with safety in mind: altitude acclimatisation, weather windows, reliable drivers and time with local families rather than a fixed bus schedule.
